
SWITZERLAND - Newfund makes maiden investment in Learnissimo
Newfund has made its first investment: purchasing a minority stake in Learnissimo, an e-learning company.
Learnissimo is an internet site where foreign language students get in touch with native speaking tutors from all over the world and receive instruction by videophone. The Geneva-based company was founded in 2007 by Thierry and Stéphane Engel, Roland Tripard and Philip Allamel.
Newfund was launched in July 2008 and has a EUR 68m fund.
