FRANCE - 21 Centrale backs Biopack bolt-on

Biopack, which was founded in 1989 by the Simon family, specialises in the manufacture of monodose packaging and containers. The business reported turnover of EUR 18m for 2007/2008.

The acquisition will allow Ileos subsidiary Socoplan to strengthen its samples division and world market position. The deal was organised by 21 Group in partnership with the management, and comes less than one year after the completion of the buyout of Nord Est.
