NL- KBC acquires 35% stake in Afa Polytek
KBC Private Equity has acquired a 35% stake in Afa Polytek BV and its affiliated companies, collectively called the Afa Group.
The Afa Group specialises in the design, development, manufacturing and distribution of liquid dispensing systems. Proprietary products include trigger sprayers for household products, beer dispensing fitments and bags for beer tenders, as well as other innovative dispensers for food and beverage products. The companies’ customers include large multinational consumer products companies in Europe and the US in industries such as the food, beverage, cosmetics and household cleaning products industries.
The company is headquartered in Helmond and has operational facilities in China. Founded in 1965, Afa Polytek underwent a strategic reorientation in 2000. The company employs approximately 130 staff. The company has consistently recorded double-digit growth figures for the past five years and KBC Private Equity believes that its technologies can be successfully applied to several new markets. Growth will also be fuelled by the production of customised development projects for several of the company’s larger customers.
