UK - SEP et al. invest further $16m into VirtenSys
Returning backers Scottish Equity Partners (SEP), Celtic House Venture Partners and Gimv have completed a $16m series C round of funding for information communications technology company VirtenSys.
Manchester-based VirtenSys develops patented PCI-Express based I/O virtualisation technologies for servers and storage platforms, revolutionising how I/O infrastructure is deployed and used in data centres and delivering improvements in I/O utilisation, cost, performance, power consumption and management. The company was founded in 2005.
The new funding will be used to grow the company's revenues and broaden its markets and operations worldwide.
