GERMANY – NRW Bank and Cine Plus join DFT backers
NRW Bank and strategic investor Cine Plus have subscribed to a capital increase for broadcaster DFW Deutsche Fernsehwerke GmbH.
Existing investors in the company include IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, South&Browse GmbH, VGM Verlagsgesellschaft Madsack GmbH & Co KG and founder Frank Lukas.
Berlin-based DFW broadcasts digitally via satellite, cable, and IPTV. It recently has launched the new channel, TIMM, which covers lifestyle, travel, entertainment and fashion and targets homosexual men.
The company will use the funds to strengthen its activities in North-Rhine-Westfalia, where it will produce more content in locations in Cologne.
The investment is subject to regulatory approval.
