
GERMANY - caption acquires stake in RTS-Group
capiton has acquired a stake in electronics after-sale services provider RTS-Group.
The founder Josef Raith will remain the majority shareholder of the group and will continue as managing director of the company. The new investors are aiming to grow RTS both organically and through a buy-and-build strategy.
RTS Group is a warranty and after-sales service provider for manufacturers of electronics equipment, in particular notebooks and monitors. RTS's services include warranty management, reverse logistics, inventory management and repair work. RTS has a blue chip customer portfolio that the company serves on a European basis. In 2009, the Wolnzach-based company will generate revenues of approximately EUR 90m.
