UK- Foresight and Octopus invest £1.5m in iProfile
Foresight Venture Partners and Octopus Group, via its Titan VCT fund, have invested, alongside private investors, in online CV and career profile provider iProfile, in a funding round worth more than £1.5m.
Manchester-based iProfile provides online CVs to over three million people. Recruitment agencies are introducing iProfile to applicants as a replacement to a traditional CV, and the business has agreements to issue up to 12 million more profiles. The company also launched SkillsProfile earlier this year, a verified online record of an employee's skills and qualifications, and already has exclusive agreements with six of the largest employer led, government-backed sector skills councils.
The new funding will be used to support these international and national agreements and increase the rate of adoption by recruiters and employers, including the launch of its new online service for recruiters later this year.
