UK - VC-backed Zoopla acquires PropertyFinder
Octopus Ventures- and Atlas Venture-backed Zoopla, a provider of residential property value data, has acquired rival PropertyFinder from News International and the REA Group for an undisclosed sum.
The PropertyFinder Group includes propertyfinder.com, hotproperty.co.uk and ukpropertyshop.co.uk. Propertyfinder.com is one of the most-visited property websites in the country with over 2 million unique visitors per month.
Zoopla is a property website that offers users information and tools to help them make better-informed property decisions. The company launched early last year. The acquisition is expected to help Zoopla further accelerate its growth.
Zoopla has previously raised funding from Octopus Ventures and Atlas Venture.
