GERMANY - WHEB Ventures leads EUR 4.7m Torqueedo funding
WHEB Ventures has led an investment of close to EUR 5m in electric outboard motors developer Torqeedo.
The cleantech firm invested EUR 3m in the round, which saw participation from Brose Trust AG and other existing investors. This is the first investment out of WHEB Ventures' Munich office, which opened in April 2009.
Torqeedo, established in 2005 and headquartered in Starnberg in Bavaria, develops and manufactures electric outboard motors for the marine market.
