UK - ECI-backed wireless networks company makes £24m acquisition

ECI Partners portfolio company Aerial Facilities (AFL) has acquired its Swedish-based competitor, Avitec AB for up to ТЃ24m. Avitec was formerly owned by CapMan, 3i and a number of private investors. AFL designs, manufactures and installs specialist products and services to extend the coverage of wireless networks. This is AFLт€™s first acquisition since ECI Partners backed a ТЃ56m MBI of the company in January 2007. Following the acquisition, AFL will become one of the top three providers of wireless coverage solutions worldwide with annual sales of over ТЃ40m and 300 employees.
