SPAIN - HgCapital acquires fifth Spanish solar plant

HgCapital invested from its Renewable Power Partners Fund, with this deal marking the fifth solar investment for the vehicle in Spain, raising the group's PV portfolio to 42MWp. HgCapital's renewable portfolio consists of 35 European renewable power projects in operation, construction or development.

The fund has invested in EUR 550m of assets over the last 12 months, including a 37MWp Spanish solar PV acquired from AIG, a 5MWp wind project at the Solutia Chemicals plant in Newport, Wales, the 95MWp Havsnas wind farm in Sweden and the 16MW Bagmoor wind farm in England.
