
UK - Citi Venture Capital International to invest $25m into SkyVision Holdings
Citi Venture Capital International, via its Citigroup Venture Capital International Africa Fund (CVCIAF), has agreed to invest $25m into IP service provider SkyVision Holdings Limited, in exchange for a 23% stake in the business.
Borehamwood-based SkyVision is a provider of global IP services over satellite and terrestrial fibre optic systems for enterprise, ISP, and carrier class customers in emerging markets. The company has coverage over 120 countries and currently operates in more than 50 countries around the world with sales in 2009 estimated to exceed $80m. SkyVision is continually growing its services in Africa, serving the largest telcos, mobile operators, corporations and public sector customers on the continent. The company was established in 2000.
