UK - Spark and Acacia lead $16m funding round for Skinkers
SPARK Ventures Plc (formerly NewMedia SPARK) and Acacia Capital Partners have led a $16m second round of funding for Skinkers, an information broadcast technology company.
SPARK has backed the company since 2005, when it invested £2m in a first institutional round of funding. Acacia led this latest financing, to which Skinkers management also contributed. The capital will be used to bring to market LiveStation, the world's first interactive global broadcast network for live television and radio, as well as to fund ongoing product development.
