UK - Notion Capital invests in Cellcrypt
IT-focused vehicle Notion Capital has led an undisclosed investment into mobile voice solutions provider Cellcrypt, alongside existing investors.
London-based Cellcrypt develops technology to secure mobile voice calls on everyday smartphones. The company provides real time encryption to protect conversations from being compromised without the need for specialised equipment or expensive new infrastructure. The technology operates on all major wireless networks including GPRS, 3G and Wi-Fi networks. Clients include governments, enterprises and senior-level executives. Cellcrypt was founded in 2005 and operates from offices in the UK, US and Middle East.
The new funding will be used to further expand Cellcrypt's international presence and build upon the launch of Cellcrypt Mobile last month, the company's secure voice calling product for BlackBerry.
Founding partner of Notion Capital, Stephen Chandler, will join the company's board.
