UK - YFM makes follw-up investment in Cornish Sea Salt
YFM Group, via its South West Ventures Fund, has further invested an undisclosed amount in salt company Cornish Sea Salt Co.
Porthkerris-based Cornish Sea Salt is the UK's first sea salt plant that harvests direct from the ocean. The company was launched just over 18 months ago and sales figures are on the ascent, having secured listings in over 800 independent delis, farmshops and prestigious foodhalls such as Harrods, Selfridges and Fortnum & Mason.
The new funding will be used to accelerate the company's growth, as the business looks to the export market through distributors to Canada, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, UAE and Ireland.
YFM first invested in the company in July 2007.
