
SWEDEN - Industrifonden invests SEK 27m in three companies
Industrifonden has completed a SEK 27m investment in three different companies in the electronics, nano-technology and cleantech sectors.
One of the companies, Jensen Devices, has received SEK 10m. Additional backers of the business are Volvo Technology Transfer and Midroc New Technology. The company develops surge arresters, and was formed in May 2002, following the acquisition of Jensen Elektronik AB.
The second company benefiting from Industrifonden's financing round is Nanofactory, which has received SEK 9m. The company, a spin-off from Chalmers Tekniska Högskola, develops instruments that can be used in electronic microscopes to measure and photograph objects in nano-scale.Flexenclosures is the third company involved in this string of financings. It has received a total of SEK 8m. The business specialises in modular production facilities for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
