GERMANY - Allianz Capital buys MAN Roland Druckmaschinen
Allianz Capital Partners has agreed the acquisition of 100% of MAN Roland Druckmaschinen from parent group MAN AG. The printing machine manufacturer was unprofitable in 2004 and 2005, however the financial investor has plans to develop the company into a possible stock-market entrant over the coming years. In 2005, Roland Druckmaschinen achieved revenues of EUR 1.7bn with operating income of EUR 65m. Headquartered in Offenbach/Main the company services the advertising, packaging and publishing industries with activities dating back to 1845.
