SWITZERLAND - Partners Global Opportunities acquires mezz portfolio

Listed fund Partners Group Global Opportunities Ltd has acquired a warehoused mezzanine portfolio consisting of 10 investments. The deal was facilitated through a warehouse agreement with Merrill Lynch International and Credit Suisse International. The investments contained within the portfolio have a total acquisition cost of EUR 104m.

The mezzanine portfolio includes the following LBO transactions: BSN Medical (Germany) - Montagu Private Equity; IMO Car Wash (Germany)- Carlyle Group; Kabel Baden-Württemberg (Germany)- EQT; Medica (France)- BC Partners; Stahl Holdings (Netherlands)- Carlyle Group, Wendel Investissment; The Automobile Association (UK)- CVC, Permira; The Sports Authority (US)- Leonard Green & Partners; Tommy Hilfiger (Netherlands) - Apax Partners; UPC France (France) - Cinven; UPC Norway (Norway) - Candover. The mezzanine and second lien loans exhibit an annual contractual yield of 12.5% based on three-month LIBOR rates as of 9 October 2006.
