FRANCE – Sofinnova et al. inject EUR 7m into Qosmos
A syndicate comprising Sofinnova, Alven Capital and GFK AG has invested EUR 7m into software company Qosmos in a third financing round.
Sofinnova Partners has previously injected EUR 3.2m in a second round of funding for Qosmos in 2006, having initially led a EUR 2m first round alongside regional investor Picardie Avenir in 2004.
Qosmos was established in 2000 from the LIP6 laboratory of the University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris VI. The company develops technology enabling the real-time analysis of all IP network flows’ contents and the reporting of collected data. Applications include television audience measuring, but also potentially corporate or governmental surveillance of network flows.
The new funding will allow both internal and external growth, with a perusal of research and international development in the UK, Germany Italy and Spain, amongst others. Thibaut Bechetoille is the CEO of Qosmos.
