IRELAND - SEP et al. invest $10m into Powervation
Scottish Equity Partners (SEP), Intel Capital, Venture Tech Alliance and Fourth Level Ventures have invested $10m into digital power solutions provider Powervation, as part of a series B funding round for the company.
Limerick-based Powervation provides digital power integrated circuit solutions that optimise power-supply performance and efficiencies for manufacturers of electronic systems used in computing, communications and consumer applications. The company was founded in 2006 and operates from offices in Limerick, Ireland, Palo Alto, California, and Taipei, Taiwan.
The new funding will be used to broaden the company's global sales, marketing and operations infrastructure, as well as advance its R&D initiatives.
Powervation previously raised $10m in a series A funding round in December 2007.
