UK - BankInvest puts $8m into CamSemi
BankInvest Group, through its New Energy Solutions VC fund, has supported semiconductor company CamSemi with $8m in an extension to its series-C round of funding.
The series-C round was initially closed on $26m in October 2007 and was led by 3i alongside existing shareholders Scottish Equity Partners and TTP Ventures, with Carbon Trust Investments also participating.
CamSemi is developing a new generation of power ICs (integrated circuits), which enable manufacturers of offline power supplies and lighting products to develop more energy efficient products.
