Eilers and Maellare to head financial sponsors coverage at UBS
UBS has appointed Matt Eilers and Simona Maellare as global co-heads of the bank’s financial sponsors business.
Eilers will join in August and will be based in UBS's New York office, where he will also head the division's Americas Financial Sponsors team. He joins the Swiss bank from Morgan Stanley, where he previously held the position of senior managing director in the financial sponsors group from 2006 onwards. Eilers began his career at investment bank Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in 1991.
Based in UBS's London office, Maellare was promoted from co-head of the bank's European sponsors business. She joined UBS last year from Bank of America, where she was managing director of the financial sponsors team in London. Prior to joining BoA, Maellare worked in the leveraged finance teams at JP Morgan and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
