FRANCE - NextStage transmits EUR 3m to Konibini
NextStage has provided Konibini, an online television station, with a EUR 3m investment. The company received an initial EUR 700,000 of seed funding in April 2008.
Konibini is a free online television station which produces shows aimed at the younger generations which spend an increasing amount of time on the internet. The will also host third party content which will be funded with advertising. The company anticipates that the growing use of internet television will eventually to an exodus in advertising budgets from conventional television to internet television and hopes to capitalise on this.
