UK - Hotbed invests £3.3m into Burcote Wind
Private investor network Hotbed has invested £3.3m into UK-based wind farm developer Burcote Wind, alongside company management.
Hotbed will provide 85% of the funding, with Burcote directors providing the balance. Investments will be drawn down in three equal tranches over a 12 month period.
As part of the deal, Roger Hewitt, former group chief executive of Shanks and McEwan Group, will join Burcote's board.
Burcote is soon expected to secure the development of up to six on-shore wind farm sites.
