IRELAND - Imperative raises EUR 30m
Reports suggest that Irish renewable energy company Imperative Energy has received EUR 30m in funding from an undisclosed London-based venture firm.
Maynooth-based Imperative supplies full-serviced on-site biomass boilers to customers, billing businesses only for the energy they use and relieving them of the capital cost. The business was founded less than two years ago.
The new funding will be used for the installation of 200 new boilers over the next five years, as well to hire more staff. The company expects its six-man staff to double over the coming months, adding a finance director, project managers and sales employees.
