UK - SEP invests £2.5m in Skyscanner
Scottish Equity Partners has invested ТЃ2.5m in Skyscanner, a commercial flight search engine. The investment represents Skyscanner's first round of funding.
The company's site uses an innovative proprietary search engine technology, which allows users to obtain comparisons on fares from more than 180 airlines to more than 5,000 destinations. The new funding is to used to expand the free-to-use site to cover every major scheduled flight, including budget and chartered airlines and major carriers.
