SWEDEN - CapMan invests EUR 1.9m in Swedish 42Networks
Funds managed by CapMan will invest EUR 1.9m in 42Networks AB, the Swedish provider of broadband telephony and triple play products and services.
42Networks develops and sells products and system solutions for broadband telephony, triple play for Fiber-to-the-Premises and Embedded VoIP-solutions. Their customers include telephony service providers and broadband operators.
The company has almost 50 employees in Stockholm, London and Shanghai. 42Networks was established by a management buyout from Ericsson Business Innovation in the middle of 2003. The VoIP market has been growing well and the growth is expected to continue in the future.
'42Networks employees have a long experience and a deep knowledge of telephony, which has proven to be a great advantage in the development of VoIP products. The management team is strong and experienced,' states Martin Falkevall, partner at CapMan.
'The capital injection together with CapMan`s wide network and expertise in growing companies will enable us to continue our market expansion. This comes at a very interesting time when the markets for both VoIP and Fiber-to-the-Home are showing clear signs of strong growth.' comments Henrik Scharp, CEO of 42Networks AB.
