UK – Close Ventures backs Heathrow hotel
Venture Capital Trust manager Close Ventures has announced it will invest up to ТЃ6.5m in a hotel at Heathrowтs new Terminal 5.
Sky Hotel Heathrow Limited intends to create a boutique hotel of up to 58 rooms. The venue should be open in 2009. Sky Hotel is 50:50 owned by several Close Ventures VCTs and The Hotel Collection Limited. The deal was done through the acquisition of the existing 19-bedroom Stanwell Hall Hotel, which will trade as Stanwell Hotel Heathrow until the necessary planning permission for expansion is granted.
