UK - Index Ventures backs $15m Viagogo funding

Index is an existing backer of the business as are co-investors Bernard Arnault, Herbert Kloiber and Jacob Rothschild. New backers are reported to include former tennis players Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf.

The firm raised $25m in 2006. In 2007 Index invested alongside the same group of individuals and About Change Ventures in a $30m round.

The new investment values the company at more than $300m, it is believed. Viagogo's site went live in 2006 and sells hard-to-find tickets to live events such as concerts and sports matches.
