FRANCE - Dailymotion raises EUR 25m from AGF-led syndicate
Unquote" can exclusively reveal details of France's largest venture deal of year - the EUR 25m second round of financing for video-sharing website Dailymotion.
Since July 2007, the company board has been chaired by Marc Zaleski, the founder of online trading community QXL.
Dailymotion was launched three months before its US competitor YouTube. The site, which registered 37.6 million unique visitors in June 2007, will hope to strengthen its position as the largest 'independent' video-sharing service. Upcoming initiatives include notably the creation of user-friendly solutions for movie making.
