UK - MMC Ventures leads £1.4m follow-on investment for The Practice

The Practice provides community-based healthcare for the NHS, operating a growing network of surgeries and health centres. Its focus is on taking clinical services out of hospital and into the community, enabling patients to receive treatment closer to home. 90% of patients referred to The Practice are seen within 4 weeks, significantly ahead of the government's target of 18 weeks. The Practice delivers services which include sexual health, dermatology, secure health, urgent care and ophthalmology.

The company was established in 2005 by two NHS clinicians, Jeremy Rose and Ajit Kadirgamar, and businessman Peter Watts. The business' revenues have grown 100% each year since MMC's initial investment in 2006.
