NETHERLANDS - ABN AMRO Capital leads biotech deal

Netherlands-based PanGenetics specialises in developing clinical therapeutic antibodies. This second round of funding will allow PanGenetics to further the clinical development of its anti-CD40 antibody. Obtaining a licence agreement for other products, as well as managerial recruitments will also strengthen the development of the antibody. According to CAPE, monoclonal antibodies are reputed for their efficacy and profitability and many large international biotechnology groups depend on this technology.

Geert-Jan Mulder led the deal at ABN AMRO Capital, while Philippe Guinot negotiated on behalf of CAPE. Both investor managing directors have been nominated to sit on the company’s supervisory board. Dr. Kevin Johnson has become the new CEO of PanGenetics.
