SPAIN - Santander and Caléndula invest in Gecal
The Santander Group and private equity firm Caléndula de Inversiones have each acquired a 16% stake in renewable energy firm Sociedad Gestora de Parques Eólicos de Castilla y León (Gecal).
Gecal expects to reach 1,500 MW of wind energy generated with the possibility of developing a further 500 MW of combined thermosolar, biomass, photovoltaic and hydrogen energy depending on opportunities.
