UK - Eden Ventures et al. further invest in VoiceVault
Eden Ventures has further invested in Biometric Security's VoiceVault, the specialist provider of voice-based biometric identity verification solutions, as part of a ТЃ1.5m round of funding. Software development expert Kevin Lomax also contributed and will join as CEO of VoiceVault.
VoiceVault provides an alternative to PINs, passwords and security tokens by calculating the vocal measurements of an individual's vocal tract, which is converted into a voice print - a representation of an individual's voice that cannot be forged. The system can verify someone's identity over the phone or internet, as well as over a range of business applications including procurement, payment authorisation and corporate security. The company, which is based in Chertsey, delivers its services either by a hosted service or as a licensed software that is pre-installed on servers. VoiceVault has operations in the US, UK and Ireland.
The new capital will be used to further develop the company's UK engineering team and better support research activities in San Diego, as well as enable a more aggressive partner programme in Europe and the US.
