SWEDEN - NVP invests SEK 23m into Jalbum

Jalbum provides free software that enables users to create web-based photo and video albums. The site has an active community that contributes to the development of the skins, plugins and language options.

The Järfälla-based company was founded in 2002 and secured its first investment from NVP in 2006. This latest capital infusion will be used to accelerate product and business development.

Jalbum also recently appointed Andreas Sjölund as CEO. Sjölund was co-creator and first product manager of Skype and was one of the first employees of KaZaA. Jalbum founder David Ekholm will resume the role of CTO.
