UK - Ingenious Music VCTs invest £2.6m

Another eight deals are in the pipeline. These investments will be made through the formation of joint venture companies between the VCTs and established independent record labels. These JV companies will create new copyrights and license recording, marketing and distribution rights for the artists.

Ingenious Music VCT 1 raised over £15m last year, and was followed by the launch of Ingenious Music VCT 2, which earlier this year raised in excess of £26m. Together the two make Ingenious the largest independent source of A&R investment in the UK.
