UK - Foresight invests £4m into Crumb Rubber
Foresight Group has invested £4m into tyre recycling company Crumb Rubber Ltd.
Plymouth-based Crumb Rubber processes used truck and car tyres into fine rubber powders, which can be used to replace virgin rubber in applications such as tyre retreading and to enhance the characteristics of plastic products like roofing slates. The company was founded in 2005.
The new funding will be used to optimise the company's operations at its existing plant, accelerate research and development of new applications in the rubber and plastics markets, and fund vertical integration, enabling the business to provide a more complete solution to the tyre industry.
