FRANCE - Coller interested in Natixis
According to reports, Coller Capital has emerged as a potential suitor for part or all of Natixis' Private Equity divisions.
Coller Capital is said to have retained Close Brothers to advise them on the deal. AXA Private Equity are also said to be monitoring the situation.
While Natixis is said be restructuring its private equity division, which includes iXEN, Actem, NI Partners, Naxicap Partners and venture funds Seventure and Ventech, Laurent Mignon, the banks director general, has ruled out a discounted secondary sale.
Natixis Private Equity has EUR 4bn of assets under management at the end of 2008.
The news follows the recent departure of Caroline Rémus the president of iXEN, amid rumours of a merger between NI partners and iXEN.
