
Main Capital acquires strategic stake in Cleversoft
Main Capital has acquired a strategic stake in Munich-based regulation technology company Cleversoft.
The investment will support the company's organic growth and launch a synergetic buy-and-build strategy. There will be a focus on add-on acquisitions to expand into adjacent market segments as well as to further internationalise.
Main Capital is a strategic investor with an exclusive focus on the software sector in Benelux, Germany and Scandinavia. Prior to this investment, the GP's portfolio company GoConnectIT bolted on Geocan van den Berg in November.
Company
Cleversoft was founded in 2004 and operates in the regulation technology market. It is a regulatory reporting specialist for the financial industry. The company offers cloud based proprietary PRIIPs and MiFID II SaaS-solutions. Its products help financial players to efficiently harness highly complex regulations.
The company currently has 200 international customers including banks, asset managers and insurers. It has offices in Munich, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Luxembourg and Sofia.
