
Sofinnova Partners leads EU^R4m investment into Neosens
French GP Sofinnova Partners has led a EU^R4m investment into technology company Neosens, alongside Belgian investor Capricorn Ventures, GALIA Gestion, ICSO Private Equity and IRDI.
Toulouse-based Neosens offers innovative, cost effective sensor solutions for monitoring the presence of biofilm, scale and dissolved oxygen in industrial/commercial cooling systems, pulp and paper processing, food and beverage, and ultra pure water applications. The company was started by Laurent Auret as a spin-off of electronics company Elta in 2001.
In 2008, the investors all participated in a EU^R2.5m second round of financing, also led by Sofinnova. ICSO Private Equity and IRDI provided EU^R1m in a first round of funding in 2004.
