Mentha-backed Aethon buys Samen Professionals
Mentha Capital portfolio company Aethon, a Dutch-based staffing company for students and young professionals, has acquired secondment company Samen Professional.
Dutch private equity house Mentha backed Aethon via its latest fund, Mentha Capital V, which closed on €143m in January, according to Unquote Data.
The bolt-on acquisition is expected to strengthen the companies' positions in the Dutch recruitment industry and to enhance their service offering.
Aethon is an employment agency for students and young professionals, providing staff to health institutions, municipalities and housing associations. The company also develops and invests in targeted practical programmes for employees.

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Rotterdam, Samen has grown into a specialised secondment service in the healthcare and educational sectors. The company operates under two distinctive brand names, Samen in de Zorg for its healthcare activities, and Onze Leerkracht for its activities in the educational sector.
Samen operates from six locations throughout the Netherlands and employs 450 staff.
