
Omers leads €16.25m series-B for Deliverect
Omers Ventures has led a €16.25m series-B funding round for Deliverect, a Belgian software developer of a food delivery management platform.
The investment is the first from Omers' new $750m transatlantic venture capital fund.
The round also saw participation from existing investors Newion, Smartfin and the company's founders. Omers managing partner Jambu Palaniappan will join the Deliverect board.
The fresh capital will be used to support further R&D and product development, solidify the company's position in Europe and explore international expansion.
Previous funding
In April 2019, Deliverect raised €3m in series-A funding from Newion Investments and SmartFin.
Company
Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Ghent, Deliverect is a subscription-based service that integrates third-party online ordering platforms into restaurants' point-of-sale systems, automating the inbound online order flow through a single point. The company has a team of 50 people. It has processed 3.5 million orders since inception, the company claims.
