
Hg leads $30m series-B for Silverfin
Hg has led a $30m series-B funding round for Silverfin, a Belgium-based financial software developer.
Existing investors Index Ventures and SmartFin Capital also participated in the round.
The new investment also means that shareholders Pieterjan Bouten and Louis Jonckheere will leave the company, accepting an offer from Hg, De Tijd reported.
Previous funding
In March 2016, SmartFin Capital led a seed round for the company.
One year after, Index Ventures led a $4.5m series-A funding round for Silverfin. Existing backers of the company also joined the round.
Company
Founded in 2013 and based in Ghent, Silverfin is an accounting and financial software developer for accountants, consultants and book keepers. It has now expanded to London, Amsterdam and Copenhagen, and has customers in 11 countries. The company's annual turnover accounts for €15m, according to De Tijd.
