
Connecterra raises €7.8m in series-B round
Netherlands-based Connecterra, a developer of software for the dairy industry, has raised €7.8m in a series-B round led by French biosecurity and food safety company Kersia, ADM Capital and Pymwymic.
Also taking part in the round were existing investors Breed Reply and Sistema, and founders Saad Ansari and Yasir Khokhar.
The latest funding will help Connecterra grow its presence in dairy regions such as Europe, North America and New Zealand, and further scale and develop the AI models and technology behind its platform Ida.
Previous funding
Connecterra in 2018 raised €4.2m in a series-A round led by Russian firm Sistema VC, AgFunder, UK VC 7percent Ventures, Acequia Capital and Henk Bles.
Existing seed investor Breed Reply, angel investor Elias Tabet and Mena Ventures also took part. The funding featured a €1.7m non-dilutive grant from the EU.

Founded in 2015 and based in Amsterdam, Connecterra has developed a predictive intelligence platform that uses machine learning to provide farmers and industry stakeholders with insights for farm and value-chain efficiency. It operates in 16 countries and, according to its LinkedIn page, employs 11-50 staff.
