
Benchmark Capital leads $10m round for Elasticsearch
Benchmark Capital has led a $10m series-A funding round for Amsterdam-based data analytics start-up Elasticsearch.
Other investors in the round included SpringSource co-founder Rod Johnson and Data Collective. The company will use the funding to expand geographically and boost product development.
Company
Elasticsearch is an open-source data search and analysis tool. The software launched in 2009 and currently records approximately 200,000 downloads per month.
The company behind the software was founded in Amsterdam in 2012 to support the product's growing user base. As well as the software, the new company provides professional training and consulting services to businesses.
