RDIF et al. in Carprice, Travelata, Elementaree
The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) is deploying capital into three Russian companies – Carprice, Travelata, Elementaree – alongside various co-investors.
Carprice, a car sales service, is receiving funds from RDIF, Baring Vostok and funds from the Middle East. The fresh capital will be used to accelerate growth of the business in Russian regions, increase its market share and develop platforms for inter-dealer car sales.
RDIF is also investing, jointly with partners from France and the Middle East, in Elementaree, a ready-to-cook meal kits delivery service. The transaction will enable the company to expand its production facilities and install new technological equipment. The investment will also support the digitalisation of Elementaree's services and help extend its business to other cities.
RDIF and some Middle Eastern partners will also support the growth of Travelata, an online travel agency.
