
MCI Capital hires two new investment partners to expand team’s expertise

MCI Capital, a CEE-focused private equity fund based in Warsaw, has appointed Tomasz Mrozowski and Pawel Sikorski as investment partners over the course of Q1 2023, developing its capabilities in clean tech and various technology sub-sectors.
Tomasz Mrozowski told Unquote that he will lead the fund’s clean tech investments, the ESG space, as well as technologies and infrastructure that support the green transformation. As reported by Unquote sister publication Mergermarket, MCI is looking to invest up to EUR 100m into cleantech assets out of the up to EUR 500m total war chest of its MCI.EuroVentures' fund. The cleantech investments are also expected to make around 20% of MCI's entire portfolio, as reported.
Before joining MCI Capital, Mrozowski served as the CEO and a board member at Polish telecom and fiber optics operator Grupa 3S. He also has several years of experience at the Boston Consulting Group, where he was involved in projects in the areas of energy and ESG.
Pawel Sikorski, MCI Partners
Sikorski, on the other hand, will focus on e-commerce, marketplace, and consumer SaaS sectors, as well as facilitate MCI Capital’s development in foreign markets, according to a press note from MCI.
Sikorski has more than 20 years of professional experience, primarily in private equity, venture capital, and investment banking. Before joining MCI, he worked at CEE PE firm Enterprise Investors, as well as at CitiGroup and BBI Capital. He also co-founded Poland-based venture capital funds: Protos and Protos Next.
He has advised and executed on multiple M&A and listed-company transactions valued at more than PLN 1bn (EUR 215m) over the course of his career, according to the press note.
