
Prime Ventures leads $38m series-C for AImotive
Amsterdam-based Primes Ventures, along with B Capital Group, has led a $38m series-C funding round for AImotive, a Budapest-based provider of autonomous vehicle technology.
Other backers in the round include Cisco Investments and Samsung Catalyst Fund. Previous investors from series-B and -D rounds participating in the latest round featured Robert Bosch Venture Capital, Inventure, Draper Associates and Day One Capital.
With the fresh capital, AImotive intends to to continue developing its proprietary autonomous driving technology, using off-the-shelf camera sensors and artificial-intelligence-based vision processing.
The company started testing its car fleet in Hungary, France and California in Q3 2017. It has plans to further expand testing to automotive hubs in Japan, China and other US states this year.
