Afinum-backed Cotta acquires Steinpol
A portfolio company of Afinum Management, furniture manufacturer Cotta, has wholly acquired sofa manufacturer Steinpol.
Afinum purchased Cotta in 2014 with funds from its Afinum Siebte Beteiligungsgesellschaft fund. The vehicle focuses on companies with turnovers typically in the region of €25-150m. Equity tickets sit in the €10-35m range.
Cotta's most recent acquisition was Sarajevo-based Sinkro in September 2018.

Headquartered in Poland, Steinpol operates nine locations consisting of 170,000 square metres of production area across eastern Europe. It employs 3,000 people and manufactures sofas and TV chairs under the brand names Sit&More, Polsteria, Poco and International.
