Abris-backed Green Group acquires Eltex Recycling
Abris Capital-backed Green Group has wholly acquired Romania-based industrial waste management company Eltex Recycling.
The GP acquired a majority stake in Green Group – a Romanian recycling business – in April 2016. The investor, together with CEO Clement Hung, acquired the business from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Greek private equity firm Global Finance. Abris Capital deployed capital from its Abris CEE Mid Market Fund III vehicle, which held a final close on €500m in September 2017.
The two companies will join forces to further expand Eltex's waste management services in Romania.
Company
Eltex was set up in 2012 as a Romanian subsidiary of Eltex Kft, a Hungary-based industrial waste management company founded in 1987. Based in Oradea, Eltex Recycling offers integrated waste management services such as organising the production flows for waste collection, taking over the waste collection process, and identifying recycling solutions to extract the value from the generated waste.
